Big Bike Revival ‘Fix’ sessions provide the opportunity to get your bike checked for mechanical faults, free of charge!
Simple problems like gear and brake cables can be fixed and adjustments made there and then, whilst bigger problems (eg. replacing chains, wheel balancing and bearings) will need referring on to local bike servicing workshops.
These sessions are great for those of us who have bikes...lurking in the shadows somewhere, covered in cobwebs- bikes that could do with a once over before we get back on them, and remember how fun it is to
whizz to and fro!

Taking place in Makers Mews classroom - you can cycle right to the door!
We’ll start with a ‘Howdy’ and get the paperwork needed to be able to fund these kinds of projects out of the way - the Cycling UK survey collects names and emails.
We’ll then ask you questions regarding the problems with your bike, and about your riding experience and how you intend to use the bike once it's been checked.
While the bike is being fixed, our mechanics will explain and demonstrate what they are doing, advising how to maintain your bike in the future.
We’ll use simple language that is straightforward to understand, confirming as we go what we’ve said makes sense to you. Our aim is to have you leaving engaged and informed rather than confused or patronised; ready and raring to get confidently on your bike!
Should your bike need some extra TLC, we’ll advise you of who is available and the information needed to pass on to bike mechanics to continue the work needed.
