A Grateful Heart
Stop and think for a moment about the good things in your life - big or small. That morning cup of coffee, clean air, the friend who always makes you laugh or the sunshine warming your face. These are all things to be grateful for, and focusing on them can make a big big difference.
This slow pace and therapeutic workshop, offers you a chance to experience the little findings and sweet miracles by creating our own gratitude map, using the mindful guided collage exercise. This session will serve as a reminder that gratitude isn't just about saying "thanks." It's about truly appreciating what you have, rather than taking it for granted and about shifting your mindset from what's missing to what's already there. By taking time each day to appreciate the things you have, you'll find yourself feeling happier and more content with life that you already have.
No artistic experience is necessary. This workshop is open to everyone interested in exploring their creativity in a way that will boost your well-being. We'll use collage art as a tool of visual communication— we're not creating fine art but learning about our emotions and expressing them with cut-out images.
During the session, you'll:
• Learn basic collage techniques
• Engage in guided breathing exercises to promote relaxation
• Participate in a group discussion about the benefits of creative expression
• Create your own unique collage using a variety of materials
Materials provided:
• A selection of sustainably sourced collage materials and magazines
• Glue and scissors
• Refreshment
